FEMINISM

I thought feminism was about giving girl child equal right to education as a boy child. Looks like the whole feminism has been dragged into marriage and relationship.

Feminism advocates gender equality i.e men and women should have equal rights in the society. This would have been awesome if these people that are preaching feminism actually act by what they preach.

“I would have said feminism is a cancer that's eating deep into our african culture in a bad way.” but what do i know, i'm just a wife to my husband. hahaha

I guess its safe to say that a lot people miss the point of being a feminist. You cannot say you are a feminist and then expect a man to pay all your bills. if you are doing that, then you are only being a feminist when it favors you which shouldnt be.

A lot of young ladies have been misguided by the words and actions of some of these "so called" feminist. Which One of them is our very own chimamanda Adiche. I read an article on blogs this morning where she was questioning Hilary clinton on why she decide to identify herself on her twitter account as a wife first before any other thing while her husband have something entirely different on his own bio. What i don't understand now is "is identifying as a wife now percieved as being inferior to men?" Because she chose to see herself first as a wife does not mean shes subservient to her man at home. Even if she is, God made them the head for a reason and there was a reason why we were created from their ribs.

In my own opinion, feminism and gender equality is being submissive to your husband (if you are married) and the husband loving you endlessly and unconditionally.

Feminism is giving girl child right to education and other benefits that boy child enjoys. Feminism is not disrespecting your spouse. #dropsmic
